BBQ Roast Beef & Cheddar Sliders

Ingredients

  • 1 package Sweet Hawaiian Rolls
  • 1 lbs. deli roast beef 
  • 1 lbs. shredded VT Cheddar (Plymouth Cheddar)
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 2-3 tbs. Granny Blossoms Smoky Apple BBQ Sauce
  • 2 tbs. olive oil
  • 2 tbs. butter
  • 1-2 tbs. Everything bagel Seasoning

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Peel onion. Slice onion into half-moon slices. Sauté onion in olive oil over medium low heat for twenty minutes.  Season with salt and pepper stirring occasionally.  Cook until caramelized and deep brown in color. Remove from heat and set aside. 
  • Slice rolls in half. Place bottom half of rolls into the bottom of a 9” x 13” pan. 
  • Chop roast beef into bite size pieces.
  • Shred VT cheddar cheese.
  • Sprinkle half of cheese on bottom layer of rolls. Layer chopped roast beef onto cheese. Top roast beef with caramelized onions. Drizzle bbq sauce over roast beef and onions. Sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese over roast beef and onions.  Cover with top half of rolls. 
  • Melt butter in microwave, 30 seconds at a time. Brush melted butter over the tops of the slider rolls. Sprinkle Everything Bagel Seasoning onto tops of rolls.
  • Bake in oven for 15-20 minutes until warmed through and tops of the rolls are golden brown.
