Beautifully made rolling pin which was a gift for one of my daughters. It's a pleasure to deal with J. K. Adams! Never having owned a rolling pin and faced with making fresh lasagna noodles, I wanted a reliable, well balanced, easy to use rolling pin that did the job. I relied on J K Adams who use North American hardwoods and I chose their highly recommended dowel rolling pin. I was very please that it worked so well. My 10 year old granddaughter, also a newbie to this area of food preparation, enjoyed rolling out some of the remaining dough to make 1/4 inch strips of pasta which she cooked and ate. She was pleased with the result. The dowel rolling pin is well balanced, easy to use, easy to clean and it's fun to use because it works so smoothly. In sum it's well designed with fine craftsmanship and very easy to use. I also appreciated the guidance provided on the J K Adams web site for which pin to choose. And I relied on videos on line including Lidia's for a simple recipe and rolling technique.

High quality wood, with a great weight, slightly rough texture, and great length. Rolling pin is the best I have come across to date. I understand it is simply a piece of wood, but it is perfectly crafted and works great to roll various dough for crackers, pastry and cookies.

Solid rolling pin

What a solid rolling pin, the reviews around the web are true. No frills or extra thrills, but this is heavy enough to get the job done with out being too heavy. If you have problems with the sticker on the end of it peel it off and rub some butter or oil of some sort on it, comes right off.
