I gave this as a gift this year. I own JK Adams boards and have always found them to be well-made, attractive, and long-lasting. I feel sure my daughter will enjoy the same experience. Ordering was easy and the item arrived quickly for wrapping and forwarding.

So far, the product has lived up to it's description. My one suggestion would be to make the board a bit thicker, perhaps another 1/2" thickness.

Beautiful, but warped quickly

I'm so sad to say, as the customer service I received from JK Adams was great, after learning my order was on back order. They communicated very quickly and got me my board. That being said, I've only had it sense about April and it began to warp very quickly. I had read reviews about them which is why I went with the board. I'm a chef and know how to care for it. It never set in water and was rinsed and dried regularly. But now it is too warped to use a chef knife on efficiently. Maybe if I had purchased a thicker board, or one that is a single piece of wood? Not sure. I will be reaching out again to see if they will replace it or maybe refund my money.

I needed a a large board for charcuterie. Bought the largest maple reversible prep board and it was perfect. Sizable enough to hold an abundance cheese, fruit, etc.

I purchased two of the large reversible prep boards. One for myself, which I am loving! I love the size. I can cut a lot of salad items and have space to keep piles. I love that it is thin. I gave one to my son for Christmas. I know he will get years of use out of it.

Warped within a week

The wood warped and the entire board curved upwards. I have no idea why this happened. The only thing I can think of is that it was near a window which was left open overnight, and the humidity from outside warped it? Which is crazy if true...

Separating already

I bought this board at a retailer in Ludlow VT two months ago. I loved the idea of the 2 different sides. We've taken proper care of this, wiping it down after use, never letting it sit in water, or heaven forbid putting it in a dishwasher. I have even put wood board oil on it multiple times. Seems to be to no avail as one month into it's use the board is separating at each end along the glue lines. As a woodworker's daughter I understand that the strongest board will be the board made from smaller boards, glued and clamped together, so I get how it's made, but it's only a matter of time before one of the pieces completely separates. I may have to go back to bamboo boards. I'm disappointed in the performance of this product. It's an attractive board to leave out on the counter, but for the price it should not be separating this soon and with proper care.
