With Valentine's Day coming up, we made a delicious strawberry salsa dip and chip sized chocolate strips. This is a sweet and delicious treat to share with your partner or make for any gathering!
Ingredients:
Fresh Strawberries (Local if possible!)
Chocolate to Melt - We used Choceur Dark Chocolate (from Aldi)
Instructions:
1. Prep your strawberries by washing & removing their stems.
2. Dice your strawberries into tiny squares and finely mash in a bowl as much as you can.
3. Move your bowl of strawberries to the side and cut up your chocolate to prepare to melt.
4. Melt your chocolate! Either microwave in short bursts while stirring intermittently, or on the stove over a low heat with a little butter - whichever is easier for you!
5. Grab a baking sheet and lay out parchment paper. ***Make sure your sheet can fit in your freezer before you proceed!!***
6. Pour the melted chocolate onto your baking sheet in chip-like shapes, leaving room for them enough room to comfortable expand.
7. Put your chocolate strips into the freezer and let cool for at least 30 minutes to freeze properly.
8. Peel your new chocolate "chips" off your baking sheet and break apart into easily shareable portions.
9. Place your chocolate strips on your favorite serving board, and you're ready to dip and enjoy!
