Our Lovely Rolling Pin series was developed by Bob and Gina Hartwig, the bakers and owners of Chicago's own Lovely: A Bake Shop. Slight indentations on the edges of the pin ensure that your dough is rolled to a perfect, even thickness every time. Our two professional 24" pins deliver a dough thickness of 1/8" and 1/4". On our 24" pins the roll out space is 18". Our 18" pin provides a thickness of 1/4" with a roll out space of 13". Watch the video to see the unique Lovely Rolling Pin in action.

We first encountered JK Adams wood products 30+ years ago when we married and purchased a 30" x 20" cutting board. The board has several times moved with us across country and has been an integral part of our kitchen and our family life. Over time, we have purchased from JK Adams several products for ourselves, friends and relatives and have never been disappointed. And we have only received thank you - thank you for these excellent gifts. We recently purchased 1/8 and 1/4 inch "Lovely Maple" Rolling Pins to fashion and prepare pizza dough and other goodies! Ha!!! Anyway... the rolling pin quality is excellent and we know that the pins with care will also be with us for 30+ years. Additionally, we have visited JK Adams in Dorset, VT and have met the staff and, further, have communicated with them by telephone and email - amazing, accommodating people, who care about the company's products and the customer.

Clever solution to the perfect pie crust

This takes the guesswork out of the precise 1/4 inch crust. Love it. Only problem is the sticky labels that they put on the rolling pin left adhesive that will not was off. Argh!!! Lost one star because of that.

JK Adams Response: Thank you for your review. We will look at making a change to our label. We recommend using a stiff bristle brush with hot soapy water to remove any remaining adhesive. Happy Baking!

Ahhhmazing rolling pin

I recently ordered the 'Lovely Maple Rolling Pin' from JK Adam's and I cannot tell you how much I LOVE it! I'd been using my mother's passed down rolling pin w bands but never could achieve the thickness I kept seeing. I know there are other pins out there but this one served my budget much better and does exactly as expected. Now all my cookies are 1/4" thick and even! I hate to lay my mama's rolling pin to rest but this pin life right now.

Over the years, I've purchased every trick and gimmick out there, trying to find the perfect rolling pin. Slats, flats, pins with ball bearings, even a gigantic pin that now gathers dust. What prompted this purchase was the perfect combination of approaching peach harvest season, and a freshly-typed copy of my favorite double-crust peach cobbler recipe. While surfing Facebook, I stumbled upon a video of the Lovely rolling pins, and my search was over. I admit to dilly-dallying a bit too long before ordering, so it was a few extra days before they were back in stock, after an understandable internet rush by all to get their hands on these pins. Pie crusts, cookies, and so much more await these pins, created with 1/4" or 1/8" indentions to ensure your dough is rolled to the perfect height. Just the feel of the pin feels so good to the hands, sanded very well, and smooth as can be. If I had to ask one favor of the company, though, it would be to place the stickers on the handle, or attach a tag with string, instead of stickers on the roller itself. Don't make the mistake of only buying one. Get both the 1/4 and 1/8 in a 24" length, and you will have everything you need. I will be back to purchase more of these for gifts. Thank you, J.K. Adams!

I used to make sugar cookies where I would use rulers under parchment paper to roll out my dough for the even size and it worked fine but took time and was more work. Well I found your rollers while looking at sugar cookie designs on Instagram and was so excited to find your rolling pins. I just made my first batch of cookies last night with it and OMG I LOVE it. I ordered both the 1/4" and 1/8" rolling pins. They are terrific! I love how much room there is to roll out the dough. They are longer than my present rolling pins. The I love the finish on the wood as well. Nice and smooth.

I started a bakery from my home and have has so much trouble getting my dough even. i bake 250 cookies at a time for one hotel and the differing sizes of the cookies has been a problem for me. Not any more! I love this company and their products. I have the patisserie rolling pin and love the beautiful maple feel and solid workmanship. I do wish the Lovely rolling pin had the same smooth finish as the patisserie, but I would still give it an A+++++ rating. Thanks so much for this wonderful addition to my baking toys : )

I admit to being a kitchen nerd. I love new and different utensils that make my time in the kitchen easier. In the past, I have attempted to use the frustrating thick, rubber spacer bands that always came off my rolling pin. That problem has been resolved by this handy innovative utensil. The 1/4" Lovely Pin is a useful, well made rolling pin that will roll dough evenly without problem. It's solid, sturdy and feels good in your hands while using. I have 7 different rolling pins, including some heirlooms, and I know this one will become my go to favorite, especially for rolling out cookies. My only suggestion is that JK Adams now needs to manufacture a 1/2" for the xtra thick sugar cookies my family loves. Thank you for this beautifully made pin!

I picked up the 1/4" rolling pin at Christmas and came back after the holidays were over to purchase the 1/8" pin. Getting a consistent width in my cookie dough was always a struggle before discovering these! Problem now solved. (I also use the 1/4" rolling pin to roll out perfect flatbread and naan.) These are well crafted, simple, and I only wish I'd discovered them sooner!

This is one of the greatest ideas. Before I had to essentially "guess" when I was the right thickness. With this I know. I have only one suggestion for improvement make some markings on the roller for widths. For example if the center portion was marked with thin black lines for various widths like 6, 8, 9,10,12,14,16, etc then when you were rolling out the dough trying to get a 12 in width you would know you had a big enough piece.

Had a large batch of decorated cookies to make so splurged on the 1/4" pin to make things easier. So pleased with it I ordered the 1/8" pin for pie crusts as well! They are too long to fit in a drawer so I made the a nice cover to keep them clean on the shelf.

There is not much I can add to the glowing reviews of these perfect pins. I absolutely love them. It allows me to make a perfectly rolled out dough and I need all the help I can get! And the length is so key to a rollout. I can't imagine using those rubber rings that will only rot over time. Kudos!!!

I ordered the 1/4" rolling pin about 2 years ago and for whatever reason, never used it. A few days ago I tried a recipe calling for a 1/4" rollout. Used my pin for the first time. Truly a palm of hand to top of forehead moment -- why had I waited?!!? I use a tapered pin for everything. Yes, including specified dough height... I just ordered a 1/8" for cookies, etc. I'm hooked!!

The lovely rolling pins are my go to rollers for all of my needs. I had the 1/4 inch and then got the 1/8 for a retirement gift and wanted a deeper one for making springerle. I'll be making some for Easter. I love this product. My baked goods all come out the same thickness. I have the 24 inch ones. The wood is nice and hand wash with water and mild soap.
